Welcome to the blog pages of the London Make-Up Academy. Throughout the course of the next few weeks and months we will be updating these pages with articles and news related to the work and the teaching which goes on within the school. We have set up a "Frequently Asked Questions" page which may save you the cost of calling, and there are more details about the courses delivered at this make-up artist school but failing that, we are always happy to speak to you should you need further assistance.

So this being the first article it seemed like a good idea to look at the kinds of things we teach at a make-up artist school. Don't get me wrong, the title is fairly descriptive and self explanatory, but for the sake of thoroughness, and to make sure our readers don't have any misconceptions about exactly what we do here at The London Make-Up Academy, I decided it was still a worthwhile starting point for these pages.

The first thing to say is that as a make-up artist school we are interested in our students being at the frontline of the fashion industry. In our eyes the most important word in that description is "artist". Working in the music, film and photo-shoot industries as a make-up professional requires not only the skills but the creative flair to be innovative and ambitious. So whilst we teach the science behind professional make-up artistry we also encourage and nurture our students to help them carve their own niche in what is a highly competitive area of work.

The course we have put together at the LMA is one of both practical seminars and technical workshops which cover all the skills necessary for an artist to work towards being the best. The course has been put together by professionals, for professionals.
